Els Pescadors de l'Escala
Habaneras and tavern song
Els Pescadors de l'Escala is a Catalan group from l'Escala dedicated to the interpretation of habaneras, seafaring songs, waltzes, Neapolitan songs and tavern songs.
In 2006 when I was in my 2nd year of higher education at ESMUC I entered to be part of the group of havaneras Els Pescadors de l'Escala , possibly the oldest of all.
In 2014 the group was recognized with the Creu de Sant Jordi granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya for becoming the first official group of its kind to reach 50 years of history.
To this day I have been 18 years as an official member of the formation where I have recorded 7 discs and performed around 1.500 concerts throughout Catalonia and abroad.
